Claude connector

A free, read-only connector for Claude. It checks a website homepage, looks up published advertising cost estimates for construction trades, and finds our guides. No sign-in is needed.

How to add it

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Enter a name, paste the server URL above, and save.
  4. Turn the connector on in a conversation, then ask a question.

The three tools

  • check_website: Checks the homepage of a public website: secure https connection, a tap-to-call phone number, a page title, a mobile viewport setting and a rough load-speed reading. Each item comes back as pass or needs work. Page text such as the title or phone number is not passed back, only facts about it (present or not, length, tap-to-call or not). The same site can be checked at most 6 times an hour.
  • estimate_marketing_costs: Returns our published 2026 advertising cost estimates for Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets for one trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, residential general contractor or industrial mechanical) and one channel (Google Search or Local Services Ads). Estimates only, not quotes.
  • find_guides: Lists or searches our published marketing guides and articles for construction companies, with titles, short summaries and links.

All three tools are read-only. They do not change anything.

Privacy

  • The connector receives only what you ask it to look up: the website address for a check, or the trade and channel for an estimate, or the search words for guides.
  • It does not receive your conversation, your files or your Claude account details.
  • It keeps nothing you send. The only things stored are rate-limit counters, saved under a one-way hash of the main domain name of the website that was checked, a single overall counter, and a one-way hash of the connecting IP address used only as a high-volume backstop. Each counter expires automatically.
  • It logs only the tool name and, for a website check, the website hostname.
  • The website you ask it to check is fetched once and not saved. If a Google speed score is enabled, Google's PageSpeed service also loads the page.
